I did the right things. married young, worked hard, finished my degree, and helped raise two kids. This isn't a sob story. It's a road map. By the end of this video, you'll have a simple sevenstep plan you can start this week. No hype, just practical moves. Here's a quick backstory. My first real job, it had a solid pay. In fact, it was best paying in the area for that matter. great benefits. Basically, it felt to me like hometown stability. 21 years later, bankruptcy, new owners, then the call laid off and along with 75 others. A severance package we were fortunate to receive bought time, but not certainty. I took contract work out of town. Now, what did that mean? unstable hours, long commute, and a calendar I didn't control. Now, fast forward, a new job, a new role, a decade of climbing, a standout raise, then the floor dropped. We're cutting your pay by $15,000, but same responsibilities. I walked. An employment counselor showed me the data. The prime hiring age for my job search title, 25 to 45. Next, how about recommend useful tools, affiliate tutorials or how-tos? Offer a local micro service such as a mobile device consultant where you have phone repair, cleaning, or even creating short product videos. Choose one strategy and stay with it until you have proof. Keep in mind, despite the fact that mobile device consultant is a small job when you compare it to others, there is great growth potential possible through social media and by recording videos of yourself in action and posting online. Now, let's test it so you get real feedback and fast. Step three, run a tiny 30-day pilot. Write a one-s sentence promise. An example of this would be I'll set up mobile devices for busy families by today. Now do three to five intro jobs at a fair price or one to two free to earn proof. Ask for oneline testimonials after each job because proof beats perfect. Now people need to see you exist and know how to book you. Step four, onepage presence. Now, you want to keep it basic. Create one simple page with your promise, price range, three bullets of what's included, and a book now button. Use a Google doc, uh, Canva page, or basic landing page.
